The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) in collaboration with Sazgar Engineering Works Limited will conduct short courses on compressed natural gas (CNG) to promote public-private partnership under the TEVTA Special Training Programme (TSTP), TEVTA Secretary M Arshad Bhatti said on Tuesday.
He said this at a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between TEVTA and Sazgar Engineering Works Ltd held at TEVTA Secretariat.
According to the MoU, TEVTA would provide a stipend, training cost, curriculum and certificates to all successful trainees while Sazgar would arrange training space, machinery, equipment, tools, furniture and placement of the successful trainees.
TEVTA Secretary M Arshad Bhatti and Sazgar Engineering Works Ltd Projects General Manager Zubair Aamir signed the MoU.
The TEVTA secretary said that the objective of the MoU was to make collaborative efforts for the development and implementation of a demand driven CNG quality training for manufacturers of CNG rickshaws. The effort was in line with the governments’ policy for the development of human resource to improve production in terms of quality and quantity. This would help bridge the gap between the demand and supply of the trained work force in the sector, the secretary added.
